Google vs. Yahoo --- is Yahoo gaining ground?

I just went on the Alexa rankings.... and Yahoo is #1, Google is #2, and YouTube is #3


I could have sworn Google was #1


Anyone know what's going on here???

I think alexa is affiliated with yahoo, i notice i ranks the yahoo directory as no1 and i doubt this to be the case. But you have to remember alexa is not an accurate measure of the web traffic, it only a measure of what its users (those who have installed the alexa toolbar) visit.

From what I saw last time I went to Alexa.com I made sure to filter the results for United States only and saw that google.com was number 1. It sounds like Yahoo does more around the world marketing then google. That may be why Yahoo is number 1 overall.
