a9.com? Is that thing still working? I forgot about it long time ago... never got any visitors from them.

And some newbies were here yelling "oh, watch out, Google, you have real competition now"...

Google is still the king and I love it

Still looks like a Google/Alexa variant to me, but I'm curious if anyone spotted differences in the serps.

But no... (of course) I have NEVER gotten any visitors from A9

Still like the look of it though...

They have some neat features - but I think it is hard these days to get users for a new searchengine

It's even hard to get users for an old one. Who uses Ask nowadays, besides a couple of people from the UK? And Altavista? Alltheweb*? They don't have a lot going for them for SEOers, nor for regular internet searchers.

Maybe the Google derivates have a better chance: at least they use G's massive database. But meta SEs have even more data to pull results from. I tend to use meta SEs like Vivisimo/Clusty and Mamma etc. more and more...

* they used to be a nice "meta", but now they're very limited...

I think i've had a total of 2....... maybe 3 vistors from them. Not really anything worth mentioning, of course seeing how I just mentioned that I suppose I contradicited myself.

I rank pretty well in my targeted terms in A9, mainly because they use Google's DB (in addition to their own algo variants).

The traffic has a high ROI too, probably because A9 surfers are people searching for products to purchase and have their wallet handy? lol

The amount of people who haven't heard of A9 isn't puzzling, mainly due to the fact that Amazon hasn't launched a big campaign about it yet.

Are they relying on word of mouth marketing or what?

They can send you only one visitor, but if that visitor buys you some item it will worth it
