& in URL

From what I have read so far in these forums, it seems that I need not worry myself too much about Alexa spiders and their ranking. :

I noticed that Alexa truncates URLs that have & in them and so when they return to these URLs they cause errors (not all of the variables are available). Some may ask why I have forced the URLs to use & instead of plain ol &and the answer is for W3C XHTML validation. I am almost certain that it is the semi-colon causes the error. Funny, no other spider has this problem?!

Has anyone else noticed this? I think that they need to improve their spider capabilities / powers!

Alexa truncates urls anyway. At least to take a snapshot and when you try to change the "site info". My site has a URL like www.example.com/subdir/ but the snapshot is taken from www.example.com/ This of course is a "problem" for everyone using free/cheap hosts...
