Question Alexa Toolbar with Zone Alarm

I have installed the toolbar but it does not show up in my browser and I think it is because of Zone alarm. What can I do?

I am hoping to use them together. I want to increase my Alexa rank, so the first step was to install the toolbar. However, I need the security.

Um ok.

First of all I don't see the point in increasing Alexa rank, unless it helps you get links from people who are into that. It serves no direct purpose for ranking whatsoever. I hope you are aware of that. It has been discussed on these forums a number of times

However, I DO see the point in using a good firewall. ZoneAlarm is indeed a good firewall, but it's gotta be said it's a PITA to maintain: updates, requests to buy the Pro version, yada yada. Nowadays I prefer the Microsoft firewall what comes with Windows, and I've found it very effective and less of a burden.

Thank you for your post. I appreciate your reply. I am VERY new to this. I've read some articles online that say the first step is to install the Alexa Toolbar. If I do not need to do this, then that is fine with me. I suppose I'll start looking around the forum at ways to increase my Alexa rank. If you are still keeping up with this post and have time, please let me know some of the main things I should be doing to accomplish this objective.
I feel like an idiot, but I must admit, I feel that way because I AM when it comes to SEO.

Well if you really want to increase you Alexa rank, then installing the Alexa toolbar is the way to go (for starters). But my question is: why do you want to increase your Alexa rank in the first place?
