Alexa rank is only useful for those people who have install Alexa addin in their browser.
It means it's just a small part of the whole internet population and I don't think it will be that accurate compared to the Google page rank.

Smile Logic behind Alexa Ranking
The logic behind Alexa ranking is quite simple but before I tell you the logic I'll introduce Alexa.

Alexa Rank denotes the traffic at your site on a certain day, month or year.

The Logic is, "the higher the traffic at your site, the lower the Alexa value". You can the traffic and Alexa rank has inverse proportion.

You can go to Alexa.com and put your site there to see all aspects and measures + results against your site.
