Hello,

I am considering purchasing a website. It claims to have ok traffic. It's Alexa rank is 2,089,748 worldwide with a rank of

Malaysia 251,202
Canada 318,497
US 328,006
Romania 339,278
Germany 594,123

I'm just trying to work out a "rough" estimate on how many visitors this site might get a day.

Page views per visitor are a 3 month average of 6 and a 1 week average of 3 and a global reach of 0.000015%

To be honest alexa rank is not a reliable source of traffic data.
It is taking data only from those browser where alexa tool bar is installed, so alexa is missing a huge number of data.

can you please refer me any other tool for calculating ranking information about any site worldwide..

To be honest I don't think that there is any reliable tools to check the traffic trend of a particular site externally.
There are some paid service are available, but again I am not sure that how much the accuracy is there.

If you are going to be purchasing the site, ask the current site owner to provide stats. It's the only reliable way you have to determine traffic levels for the site.

If the current owner can't or won't provide you with stats then drop the amount you're offering.

A website is a business. Would you consider purchasing any other business without asking to look at the finances first?

No it doesn't. It tries to calculate visitor numbers based on several factors, but once again it's an estimate, the accuracy of which can vary wildly.

I have checked my website xyz.com by this particular website It shows me 772 visits and also shows no. of back links by Google, Yahoo, AltaVista is 0 back links but when I see Google analytics it shows me 330 visits per day and back links by Google 230 and by yahoo 1200, So I understand that this is not right website to tell you that about exact visitors.
