Alexa Pro and possible Traffic Rank drop?

I'm wondering if the upgrade to Alexa Pro can actually have an negative influence for your Traffic Rank?

Because it's more accurate that is. What do you think?

What importance do you think alexa rank has?

If I said you had a DarrenHaye rank of 100,000,000, how would you feel.

For you and me personally? Nothing.
For my advertisers? A lot!

I earn $300000 a year with one site that has an Alexa Traffic Rank of 21000. I don't want it to drop if I will start using Alexa Pro. That is what I'm worried about.

And yes I feel you and on Google the site turns up always at the first page on place 1, 2 or 3 but still I think there are more factors at stake.

Advertisers look also at your Alexa rank and that's a fact. Even Google does and maybe that's why they maybe will buy Alexa in the near future... ;)

Your Alexa ranking doesn't' really do anything. Your Alexa traffic rating just means that's where you rank on the Alexa list, which is made from the results of people using their toolbar. The actual numbers from your analytics is what anything regarding your site should be based off. Changing to Alexa Pro will not affect your rankings on your current site.
