    This is sooooo strange...

A long while ago I was involved in affiliate marketing. After just wasting my time and sending hundreds of dollars down the drain using adwords, I moved on to new ventures.

Last month I got a check from one of the affiliate networks I used to promote. I have no idea why I got that check. I logged into my old account, and saw that I had 2 sales in September.

Today I logged into my account again, and I see that in October I have 3 sales! Geez... I'm not complaining, since I will be getting 100 bucks in comissions for this, but it is really strange, I aren't promoting anything right now! I have no idea why these sales are being credited to me. Maybe someone put up a wrong affiliate code in their site and is using mine?
Pitty this network only shows what I will be earning in comissions, it doesn't show what items I sold, so I have no idea of what it is.

    Very strange...

Could be a recurring sale. Some affiliates pay for sales not just once, but every month. Might be someone who went to the site months ago, and the cookie is still set, and they've just now bought. Something like that...

It is frustrating that I can't see what are the items that have been sold... the network has a very crappy interface. I think I'll have to take some time off and check every page I find there to see if I can find a way to check what the things I'm "selling" are.

Could it have been a mortgage product that pays on closing? Or may be the income is from seconded tier as in someone got into the program through your site and is now doing well.
