Looking for affiliate software for my web

Hey guys and gals,

I have a web site where I sell weight loss and energy products. I want to start an affiliate program (as a merchant) so people can sell my products.

Any suggestions where I should start looking for some good software or company that does that sort of thing. I looked at Commission Junction and a couple of others but they want you to put down a small fortune for software and deposits just to get started. No can do.

Any help would be much appreciated. Oh, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Lightbulb a choice...

Another good affiliate program is provided by ikobo. It's a 10 level program, each level earning you 5% (amounting up to a maximum of 50%) of the fees which ikobo collects, as well as a 10$ bonus for each affiliate you bring. There also is no limit to the width of the levels, so you can actually make some serious money, provided you have enough affiliates, or they have in turn enough affiliates. I know this because I myself am interested in this, and I've seen it work, just not in my case yet. For now I am only using ikobo's money transfer service, and this works just fine. If their affiliate program will work as well as this, then I'm in business! If you decide to use them, check out www.ikobo.com, and let us know how it went.

MyAffiliatePorgram and DirectTrack are considered 2 of the most popular. If you want to attract top partners you need to go with a solution that is well known, trusted and respected.

5staraffilliates is correct -- if you want quality affiliates, you need to go with a known solution.

Such as the ones she mentioned -- there is also http://www.shareasale.com -- a network with much MUCH lower costs than CJ. Quite affordable, in fact.

We used to run our program through Commission Junction. Since we offer many lead types, it became too expensive. We now use MyAffiliateProgram which is must more cost effective and allows us to pass on some of the savings of not using CJ to our affiliates which inturn helps with their success and our recruitment. I would suggest MyAffiliateProgram for your first couple of years. It's easily set up and cost effective. If you do not have time to recruit affiliates, I would recommend shareasale as they offer more help in recruiting affiliates.
