LinkShare

I have found some limited success with LinkShare for running my affiliate program. I have heard Commision Junction is not bad either. My question is should I stick with LinkShare, switch to CJ or do both?

Yikes...those aren't exactly the best affiliate networks out there, but seem to be where everyone starts. I'd say do both, and then keep on the lookout for other networks (once you start to do fairly well, some programs will actually find you).

I am curious as to why these aren't so good?

The best answer to that would be to tell you to read a lot of the older threads here on CJ and LS. Another good place to read about affiliate networks is abestweb.

Are you asking as a merchant? Sounds that way to me. If you are then you can't run both. LS has an exclusivity agreement. If you "network hop" and move from LS to CJ affiliates won't like it very much and you may largely have to start over. Plus it's pretty expensive to start on a new network.

If you are an affiliate then different story. You can join multiple networks. One that I highly recommend is shareasale.com

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Yes I am asking from a merchant point of view... so is it a contractual thing with LinkShare that I can't join CJ as well? Not sure I understood that part
