Is there anybody that uses IAN XML travel affiliate

Hi,
I'm thinking about creating an affiliate travel site. The best global soluction that I've found is (of course) the IAN affiliate program (wctravel.com is also good, but america focused, and I'm european). Naturally, making a normal html site with static links is not a good option (look at ebay, they are mostly worth 1$), but the XML or SOAP soluctions are simply great. I have the necessary tech skills, but I'm still wondering about important details. Is there anybody that is currently using IAN XML and that can tell me:

- how long it takes to understand and setup the plain "engine" (so create the queries, manage all the answers, update the XSL, select all the classes in your choosen programming language, ect)
- if it's realistic to develop a checkout using only their 1 hour/week test window
- what kind of software do you use to manage the content (unique content is necessary like for every site)
- how much time do you spend in a year to study/implement/test their periodical system upgrade.
- if you want tell me something about your results.

thanks in advance
