Impressions Adsense

Hi, i just started using google's adsense on my new site which started about the 10th this month. I've recieved nearly 2,000 page impressions but no money has been given. Says $0.00. i know this works becuase i tested it out a couple months ago and earnt $0.01 from impressions last time and 1 quid from a referral.

Basically from 2,000 impressions i thought i should have earnt at least something, even if it isn't that large of a sum. any ideas why i'm not getting anythin???

Google doesn't pay you for the privilege of showing adverts! It only pays you when someone actually clicks on one of their adverts!

Your click trough rate will depend on the sort of site you have. If the site is aimed at the 'Computer Savvy' it is quite possible that your click through will be very low but that the amount you get per click might be relatively high. Conversely if it is aimed at the general web surfer ie a gossip site of some sort then the click through might be much higher but the value could be much lower (it all depends on the demand for a search term).
