If you hide things you could be dropped from search engines. My affiliate links are clearly visible to both the visitor and to the search engines. If you have good credible content in addition to the affiliate links you will probably not have a problem.

In addition, if don't want to deter your visitors, why you would use affilate links that are exactly doing this?

If you're using ClickBank it may be advisable that you do in some way.
There's a bunch of malware out there that's specifically designed to redirect end-users and change the hop-link to the malware owner.

Found a video about it on another forum... I'll post it up if people want (not wanting to seem spammy so early in).

There are other Aff Marketing groups out there that don't rely on hoplinks anyway, but rather just forward the DNS, or load it all in an i-frame, so the customers only ever see your URL.
Got some info on that too.

The info on the program I've got that doesn't require hop linking?
Or the video?

The video is here, for those interested: http:// www[dot]keywordthinktank.com/public/adware/clickbank_adware.html
There was also an article in my local paper a while back:

cloaking or redirection of links will leads to decreased site authority. using short link providers is the best alternative way for this

While using affiliate links don't forget to add rel=nofollow to them. Follow the link to know what JohnMu of Google is telling to webmaster:
http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/020847.html

You can also look for VigLink a Google invested company that does not need any affiliate link. But I don't have any experience with this program. Do research and use only after you are fully satisfied.

hiding an affiliate links is possible but it is not accepted by Google Dude. so they can fall your site from the present position to a very bad position at any time. so don't do it.
thanks

What about link shortening services? I see very often that people use them, especially in affiliate marketing.

I would say the exact opposit. For the rankings you prefer to hide affiliates links. It looks like cleaner.

You can use pluggins such as GoCodes
