How to find your competitors affiliates?
How to find your competitors affiliates?
- most competitors use CJ or LinkShere as their affiliate program. There are many sites that have joined our competitors program and not ours. I was wondering if there is a way of finding out sites that promote our competitors.

That shouldn't be too difficult.
1. Determine which competitor you want to focus on. 2. Find one of their affiliates and study how the link looks. 3. Do some educated searches using that special linking structure to find their other bigger affiliates. 4. Send a very intelligent e-mail, explaining how they'd make more money with you than with competitor X. 5. Send Cygnus a thank you card. Cygnus

Sure. Let's say that this affiliate's links to your competitor look like:
blah.com/adv=34034&pub=546456 What does this tell you? It tells you to do some searches on some of the engines for the phrase 'adv=34034'; strangely enough, Alltheweb provides the best results for me on these type of queries. If your competitor is using an in-house solution, then this will probably be even easier. Good luck! Cygnus |

CJ used to be really easy. You could do a search on merchant name qksrv.net or key word qksrv.net and easily find top affiliates. But now they have all the different domains its a little harder.
Cynus has good tips and knows what he's doing! Dont forget to send him a thank you card!
