How do folks go about trying to find affiliate links for their websites?
I have certainly googled "jerky" and "beef jerky" and found other sites, many of which sell jerky, but none of them have affiliate programs, nor have they responded to email requesting information as to if they ever will. Am I doing everything that you guys would? Am I missing something? I would think there would *have* to be something out there, but just can't find it and feel like an idiot...

If you have the money, sign up for CJ or something like that, if not I haven't found any websites that have helped my affiliate program(s).. as you say, they all just want to promote themselves..

What I am not clear about is whether the poster wants to promote affiliate products relating to jerky. OR get affiliates to promote his website? Either way, try to find a freelancer in freelancer sites.

How to find affiliates
To recruit affiliates, first of all you need to think like an affiliate. There's no point in trying to recruit affiliates if they're disappointed when they visit your website and examine your affiliate product and your affiliate agreement.
If possible, hire an experienced, successful affiliate as your affiliate manager - someone who knows what affiliates want and can talk the same language as affiliates. It's disconcerting for an affiliate to talk to an affiliate manager and find out that he's never built an affiliate site.
I am offering my best Affiliate marketing network. My Affiliate Marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice through which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each customer or visitor brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts.
