How do I promote a link?

I would like to promote an affiliate link. I am not selling a product but access to a new free review site. Can anyone tell me the correct and best way to do this? Any advice would be gratefully received.
Many thanks.

I believe the best way to promote any links in the web is a website or a blog (the first one is really difficult if you want to do a SERIOUS job). A beautiful website/blog with a good and structured content is very effective between the "www" users. Watch the SEO and the PR and the results are as sure as fate!!
