    Growing a new affiliate program

My company is just starting a new affiliate program for an interesting new product. What features should I include in the program to attract good quality publishers? We are still in the early stages of developing the program so any feedback would be much appreciated

I am in the same shoes.

Our product is web based software with a free version and option to upgrade. There is really nothing like what we are launching available.

A high percentage commission and a strong brand is always attractive. Think to yourself if you were looking to join an affiliate programme, what features would attract you?

Well, we've got the high commission rate covered. We are setting it at 50%. The branding will take a while.

In addition to a high commission rate, affiliates will be attracted to a high average order value, a long cookie window (at least 60 days) and promises that your program is parasite free (and making good on that promise).

Growing your affiliate program with promotions is also crucial - cash activation bonuses, contests, etc. - if you're serious, you can get a forum on abestweb.com for about $1500 and really get people excited.

Above all - sell a great product. I do, and it has made my job ridiculously easy.

Be sure your conversion rates are up to par before launching your affiliate program. The best sales commission on the planet does no good if affiliates can't get conversions.

Hope this helps and best of luck!
