Does Affiliate Marketing helps SEO?
Can anyone tell me whether affiliate marketing helps or has any relavance to SEO? If it does, then how?
I believe being a merchant and having a pool of affiliates does good to Link popularity.

Sites that have several affiliate links pointing to them have had some trouble in the past. Monster Templates had this problem a few months ago, they used several "templates" to buy website templates and distributed them to their affiliates. In turn, these tools ended up hurting the site and started getting taken out of the SERPs, in many cases the sites that used these tools were banned by google. Obviously this is one case, but it's a pretty good lesson as to how careful you should be when using affiliate marketing.
