Hi folks,
Can anybody tell me if affiliate links bleed authority? I have a lot of amazon links throughout my site and it just occured that they could be bleeding authority. Would I be better off using a no follow tag on these links? Also if i did, would this in any way stop the tracking code from working? Any advice would be great. Thanks Gary |

Its fine to add no follow if you want to affiliate links, I have done it and not seen any adverse effects. If you are still a little concerned apply the links and test a couple of clicks with the merchant!

There is no such thing as links "bleeding" your PR. The only caution is if you have links to your internal pages or other pages where you want to pass your strongest link juice. The only possible negative effect, as far as link juice, is that ALL of the linked to pages that are "followed" share in the amount of link juice available equally.
