Arbitrage Vs Organic SEO
Hello
I am new to these forums so please be gentle.... I have created a new site displaying ads from my affiliate network, I have tried to make the site appealing to the consumer. Having done this I have had to sacrifice some of the big wins to appear in the SERP's. So my question is.... In your experience, would you use a similar template to generate content and try to guide visitors to the ads? Or Place an ad with adwords etc. To drive traffic directly to the ads pages? I understand that to give advise (which would be most appreciated) you need to see the site, however from reading these forums its bad practice to "advertise" your site. Thanks G |

This is a perception that I also had. Changing the pages to affect SE rankings. You are running a business and trying to improve the services to your customers. So ultimately your conversion/sales is what your expectated outcome. There is no point getting tons of un-targetted traffice. IMHO it is worth doing it and could take a short while may be a few weeks for the SE's to put you back into your original position. You r just trying to improve your business.. Quote:
I would definitely say Yes. Try also with overture as the chances of getting traffic is more with them. Adwords always treats you like a student who has to keep the CTR score always at a high level to gain some real benefits from them. Quote:
In my experience in seochat, no body says it is bad practice to ask for opinion about your site by posting your link. If you want to be very very cautious, just give the site name without a href link. HTH |
