Hey all,
Is it better to open links to amazon in a new tab or window? For one, the user wouldn't navigate away from your website, but he/she could also forget to order and just close the tab/window out of reflection.

always use any kind of links to open in new tab. its better cause you can hold that visitors to your site and your affiliate link too. so for me its better.

Always open other website which are taking visitors away from your website in new window. Because once other website will open in same window visitors can forget to get back to your website.

Ya its always good to open the affiliate link in the new tab, because it will help for the visitor to know which link is useful for them and which one is not.

Using links to open in new tabs can let surfers have a complete read at your site even if they close the new window or tab. But you don't have to worry for Amazon as they have a 24 hour cookie. Even if the surfer is not buying from your site, you will still get a commission on whatever things they will buy even if it is not your promoted product.

I have mine go to a new window. This makes them more likely to stay on the new page and not have the annoyance of having to go back to get to the page they clicked from.
