IMO Commision Junction are a scam outfit. I had a program with them, and built up a few hundred bucks. They never paid me the money, and when I contacted them, they said they had taken the funds to pay for their costs. So, I never use companies who choose to use CJ to manage the affiliate program for them anymore.

Trade Doubler, on the other hand are an excelent company, they have a very good managment panel, and they pay me every month - no problem.
ClickXchange is another good one.

On the whole, affiliate programs are good, you gotta get the traffic to your site though. Once you get traffic - which is made harder as Google penalises sites that use affiliate programs now. You can get round the penalty by adding lots of useful content, and update it regular. Content must be unique, or you get the duplicate content penalty though.

So, its very hard work, with the chances of making serious money even harder.

Good Luck

I don't like....

* companies that offer to pay you on sales that originate through your website but they have a huge toll free number on the banner of their site with no provision to pay you a piece of the telephone income

* companies that offer to pay you on sales that originate through your website but they have links out to third party sites where no commissions are paid

* programs that are constantly running sales, issuing coupons, or changing products/prices/etc that require me to edit my sites

* companies that study what you are doing and then build onto their company site in an effort to compete with you

I have found Commission Junction creates a steady revenue stream for me.

Amazon is another resource that works.

Chitika has paid me as well.

I also look for independent products that work with my niche that are not associated with any network. They are less likely to be over-saturated with affiliate marketers.

Hi,

How do I get a list of all the affiliate provider like CJ, Clixgalore, etc...that I can join

I would like to join CLICKBANK, but not sure if it is good to start my business (90 days -deduct $1 for non-active...180days -deduct $5 for non active account).

I know CLICKBANK has more than 10,000 digital product to promote.. do you know a company other that CLICKBANK..?

tq.

Depends upon the niche to some extent. Try doing a search for "Your main niche keyword" affiliate on google. I have found some interesting independent affiliates that way.

Similarly do that niche keyword search at Clickbank, Commission Junction, Sharesale and Linkshare. (There are others, of course.) See what pops up, it may fit your website very well.

I do make a steady stream of revenue from Clickbank and so recommend them. Good traffic and decent marketing are the key. We all have to risk a little capital to make money.

Bad experiences that I have never hardly experienced, but some have is programs that don't pay or have bad support. Some good experiences is programs that help you out and pay on time, everytime.

I'm having some super affiliates for my site.
Still now they are happy in doing their work.

The only troubled thing about affiliate marketing is that some of the urls has dead now.

One way to prevent deductions for non-activity is to buy something from yourself. With over 11,000 products on clickbank there are many products that would be of use to you anyway.

Note that before you can collect a commission from Clickbank, there is a minimum number of sales that you have to make that come from different people. But, at least, one of your own purchases can be included in that total.

There are two approaches, I use for clickbank. Byuild a website around a particular clickbank product or find a clickbank product that matches a particular website or page.
