Affiliate Marketing

I want to start doing some Affiliate Marketing but a lot of companies out there like trade doubler want to pay a joining fee of £1500+ and then a monthly fee now as a new company I can’t really afford to take the risk and spend that money if affiliate marketing don’t work is there any affiliates networks out there that don’t want a joining fee or monthly fee and just charge commission

thanks Ricky

I think the OP was asking about using affiliate networks to sell/promote his business, not to be an affiliate promoting other people's.

I don't really know a lot from the merchants' point of view so can't say which networks charge what, but I'd have thought there'd be some cheaper.

It depends on what kind of affiliate products you are interested in selling, I wouldn't recommend that you join a affiliate system that requires a monthly payment or even a deposit.

There are thousands of products out there that you can sell for free, you just get paid the commission.

I have recently written an article about "How to find the best affiliate products to sell"

If you interested you can find it on my blog.

shareasale is a pretty affordable network to consider that would get your site some exposure.

If you are looking to promote your affiliate program in house then you could use either Post Affiliate Pro or iDevAffiliate and then start posting and advertising your program on popular forums such as affiliates4u.com and wickedfire.com

If you prefer an affiliate network to manage your program the shop around, there are a lot cheaper options. If you are UK, try Affiliate Future, Webgains or Paid on Results.

Don't pay

There are to many affiliate programs that are free to even consider paying.

Look into Commission Junction and ShareAsale. If you have absolutely no money for setting up a commission system, then you can always contact local webmasters in your city and have an old-fashioned commission contract with them. Even though you're coming up witha custom tracking arrangement (instead of using a well-known network), this is still lucrative for them because other webmasters have no way of knowing about your program (and this means greater profits for them).
