    Affiliate Links

Does it matter whether or not there is a slash between the url and your affiliate id? For example should it be like this:

    example.com/?referral

    or like this:
    example.com?referral

    Does it make any difference?

yes it makes a difference. I get a 404 without the slash. I think the browser tries to interpret things as a big extension e.g. .com?yada similar to .net similar to .club similar to .fool etc

it should be exactly as the affiliate program says it should be. Changing it in any way could cost you commissions. Why would you want to change something as simple as a /

It is important to keep it like it is. When you add or remove the ending slash, it makes a big difference. It even affect your anchor link, so, you can imagine how much it matters to add a slash at the end or not. With or without it, the anchor may reload the page or simply scroll you to the ID. So, the same rules apply for link with parameters.
