Online Pharmacy Affiliates
We run several online pharmacy affiliate programs, and I think that it is about the highest return for a given amount of effort. If you have the SEO skills (or if you can hire them  ), you can do VERY well in this industry. There are several sites doing six figures per month using PPC and SEO, and many others making a comfortable income from either. If anyone would like any more info, please PM me.

The affliate programs that make you the most $$$ are the ones that you are true too, meaning you just target their product on your web site. So if you target weight loss, and you have a site that features more than one weight loss affiliate program you will NOT do as well as if you have several web sites featuring just the one affiliate program.
Also, (Nintendo - I hope you see this!) I have heard that putting the affiliate links in a .JS file so that the ripoff affiliate software programs (parseware) can't see your links, will increase your sales immediately. There are a lot of cheaters out there targeting big programs like Amazon, Drugs and Travel.

ripoff affiliate software programs
EGOL also mentioned the above in another thread.
This sounds like a topic that deserves a great deal more attention than it is currently getting. It has serious implications for anyone who is attempting to make money from an affiliate program.
Can anyone else contribute information regarding this kind of theft and how it can be avoided?

There are a number of downloads that install scripts on a persons computer that watch the URLs of the websites that are visited. When a click is made on an affiliate link the program grabs the affiliate code on that link, and replaces it with a new affiliate code - the code of a bandit who is stealing what was earned by someone else.
I belive that putting the links with your affiliate code in an external .js file foils this software because the affiliate code is now on the server instead of on the client machine. I base this on the fact that when I put my links in a .js file my commissions seemed to make a distinct increase and stay there.
Search google for "affiliate commission theft"

I dis-agree
I do not belive so, at the end EVERYTHING comes to your machine and the GET command for the URL is complete when it gets out of the users machine, that is when the command is spoofed

Good idea, BroadProspect, but it only confirms that your own computer is secure.

ENGOL, your post is what I call a POWER POST.
I did the suggested search for "affiliate commission theft". Here's how it works, if I may elaborate on ENGOL's post.
Millions of computers are used to download FREE music, FREE games, FREE software, etc. The fine print of some of those download agreements allows the parasite software to be installed along with the freebie. Who reads the fine print?
Whenever an infected computer is used to make an online purchase from your affiliate site, where your affiliate tag ID is visible, your tag can be overwritten by another tag and you lose the commission.
This form of theft must add up to millions of $$$$.

BroadProspect, you could be right. I don't know enough about how browsers interact with the URLs.... I am only guessing based upon seemingly more frequent sales after making this change.
Do you have any ideas on how we can foil this theft?

Hi All,
I specialize in parasite-free programs so maybe I can explain.
Parasitic affiliates can overwrite your links in different ways. The most typical is by offering a shopper toolbar or rebate type of toolbar. A customer clicks YOUR link, you should get paid. If the customer has downloaded the xyz cashsavings toolbar - it will overwrite YOUR link and get credit for YOUR sale.
The only way a merchant is parasite-free is if they REFUSE to partner with companies that use these unethical marketing methods. Although it's hard for merchants to police sometimes, because new parasites launch sites and sometimes it takes awhile before you can figure out what they are doing. It takes a very diligent and affiliate-centered manager to insure a program stays clean. Some merchants don't care and partner with parasites for the money. Others like "yours truly" are only interested in working with and supporting our regular, honest affiliates. All my programs are parasite-free!
Also re: the question of which programs pay the most - if you want to stear clear of RX and casino programs and only market safe main stream programs - one of the highest converting programs I work with right now is DentalPlans. Top affiliate last month made over 7K. They are on CJ and parasite-free. You can read a review about them on my 5 Star site.

I am an inactive affiliate for ABCLeads.com and just wanted to mention that Karen is an awesome Marketing Manager. If that product better fit the areas I work in, I would then be active.
Karen, a couple of questions about your program (just incase I expand in the future)...
- What does your top affiliate make a month?
- How is that income generated... via email marketing or targeted web sites?

Hi Gail,
Thank you so much for those kind words. The answers to your questions are listed below:
- What does your top affiliate make a month?
- How is that income generated... via email marketing or targeted web sites?
Our top affiliate makes $10,000-$12,000 each month.
This income is generated by promoting long term care insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, replacement window, and siding through targeted websites. No email marketing is used. We have seamless quote forms which work well within sites since the visitor does not have to leave the site to complete the form. Quicker access to the form generates higher conversion rates for the affiliate. We have seamless quote forms for each product.
If our products do not meet your area, you may want to consider promoting the affiliate program as a whole and build your second tier. That way you'll earn $0.20 for each lead your tier generates. Also, during November we're running an incentive program for all affiliates with a second tier, you'll earn $0.50 per 2nd tier lead. Each month I try and have a program for those that have a 2nd tier. During the month of December, the affiliate with the top producing tier will earn a $25 bonus.
If you are interested in building a tier, we have several banners and text links available. I will also custom create the creative for you if it helps. :-)
Thanks again for your kind words Gail. I hope that we are able to work together soon.
