Set up a custom search engine that searches only your site. So, this becomes an internal search not a search of the web.

You can also configure it so that the search results display on one of your pages and looks like your website provides the search.

We have two adsense search boxes above the fold on every page of our site. It is one of our best money makers.

Try it.

Adsense for Search is a great feature to have. It helps your visitor find what they want on your site, or on some else's ($$$$!) I still haven't done as Egol suggests by adding another, but will soon. With only 1, I've noticed that the money you make from Search seems to be better than the average click. Maybe because people tend to click on the top 3 ads, instead of searching through my content for ads.

Hey Berg...

I had just one box above the fold at the top of the left nav. Added a second on the right side of the top banner and search use shot up by 50% right away.

I know, I know... You're right, I'm just dreading restructuring my site. I would need to in order to fit it where I want it.

It's on my short list. Thanks again.

By doing this (adding search boxes), does that guarantee an index of your site faster (not rankings, just an index)?

No my friend that does not ensure caching or page rank but it smoothies the navigation and make you inner pages more visible.

If people leave your site on search I don't see this a bad thing, considering at this point you have already been paid by that visitors clicks, right. If you are not in it for the money then you should take the search off and put a search of your own site up.
