ADDWEB - Link Trader, is it safe to participate?

ADDWEB has a feature which can automate linkswaps betwen literally tens of thousands of sites.

Would google consider this partnership of sites as a link farm?

All the sites are varied and on different servers etc.

Sorry for all the daft questions

Thanks,

Gary.

Hi Gary,

Addweb is a great way to build link popularity. This is not a link farm!
You are trading links with other websites that are using Addweb as well.

I highly recommend this program.

There are some other ways to do it, check it out:

Great, we currently have 600 incoming links from it, most that we have seen have had good pr's... However, we are worried that we cannot check all links and some may slip through with pr 0's

Will this adversely affect our Ranking if we are link sharing with them?

Thanks for the other sharing sites, will put them to good use

Gary

Hi Gary,

Ckeck all the websites on there PR before you start trading links with them.

Better only a few with high PR than a lot with low PR. I have also some nice tools on my website that may interest you.

Hi again, you are being a great help.

Is it likely our site will feature in the next google dance? We launched it roughly a week ago and now have 600 incoming links from mostly high rankers (PR4 - PR7 mostly).

I have read that google ius dancing sometime on or around the 28th?

Lets hope we do well,

I will be looking over your site

Thanks,

Gary.

Hi Gary,

To see results from link building it will take about 2 month.

Quite a long wait but at least it will allow us time to verify page ranks with trading sites and make sure no PR0's get through.

Thanks again for your help,

Gary.

LinkTrader

Trading links have changed since this thread started.

I personally use LinkTrader but I use it to get my site spidered more so than for Link Popularity.

Trading links allows the search engines to find you naturally, which is the preferred method nowadays.

So if you use LinkTrader, use it for that rather than getting tons of trades.

A few relevant sites that are listed with the search engines will do more for your site than submission would. Google is also looking at a lot of trades as link farming as well. But a few good links will get NEW sites spidered significantly sooner than a submission would.

Scott
