Impressions are meaningless in some product categories or industries and the web sites publishing affiliiate ads within that category or industry. Some sites just get zero affiliate sales.

I get no to very few affiliate sales in one very popular area (several hundred thousand impressions per month) while in another unpopular area we experienced 100% CTR on 303 impressions for the month of May with 24 sales. In the volume area they look past the ads, while in the specialty area they are specifically looking for the products we are displaying.

So... it is really whether your visitors are blind to the ads or looking for or attentive to the affiliiate products you are displaying.

I looked another websites (related to mine) and a lot of of them have the same banners. I even started to search.
I found some websites that in top 5000 in Alexa and i add the same links on my page in the same places. Still.... no result!

call to action

I don't want to sound facetious, but even if your ads are on topic and your site gets a million impressions a month, unless you create a desire for your visitors to buy something, they won't. You clearly have the positions to create the traffic, you now need to make it work for you.

Look at your copy, and try tweaking it to make your customers want to buy something - this could be as simple as writing "click here to buy now" over the link. With so much flash and animated gifs on many websites, it can be hard for visitors to know where to click to buy. A 468 banner across the page might not be enough without a big arrow pointing to it and a label.

Also, look through your log files and stats packages to find out what search terms people find you for. If all your visitors arrive looking for the term "information about widgets", or "widget guide", they might not be in the market for buying your widgets unless you write the most attractive and alluring copy.

I've always found that looking at one of my own web pages from a detached viewpoint as a potential customer will reveal plenty of places where I can make things easier for the user to understand.

Smile what kind of banners?

Are you talking about image banners? If so, I would suggest testing out text links.

I can't understand how to use AdSense on my website (PhpNuke), it keep telling me that JavaScript is not allowed.

what your selling must not sell very good, its hard to anwer that kind of question when we dont know your situation, i would have to look at the site at the least. i can tell you that the banner marketing method isnt the best, people are now trained to avoid banners, you should think of other marketing methods.

50,000 impressions, no sales, I would be pretty disappointed. Don't know what to say about that but I would think there would be something that would interest your visitors, something you could find to tempt them with.

50,000 impressions can be misleading - how much of that traffic is spiders, how much is people working on the site.

With SEO there's one fact to consider - you can have the greatest SEO in the world but if the product isn't any good, people won't buy. Ie SEO gets you on the search engine page. SEO won't neccessarily make people click to your site or once on your site, buy your product!
